![]() ![]() Putting the rift on my face and pressing buttons on the controllersĪlso, putting my finger over the light sensor on the headset changes it from orange to black, which shows it's detecting that I'm there it's just not detecting the hdmi connection. I have also reconnected it, confirmed it works, turned the computer off and immediately the problem came back Pushing the hdmi connection further in instead of unplugging it just in case it was a loose connection Unplugging every USB port on the PC except for the rift and sensors Moving the USB cables to different ports on the PC Stopping the OVR Server process under task manager (someone said that can fix it temporarily) Unplugging and plugging the hmdi cable back in There was a small influx of people reporting hdmi problems recently after an update, and after trying everyone's suggestions it did not fix the problem of it repeatedly not detecting a hdmi connection. Obviously this is not a very good solution as the only way to unplug it is to tug on the cable quite hard (and you can't buy a replacement cable) and it's just tedious lol. It did work previously, and it is most likely not "damage" due to the fact that if I take the faceplate off and unplug and plug the cable back in everything goes back to normal and it functions without any problems. This is because the software is not detecting a hdmi connection as the "devices" menu in the oculus app shows the rift is not detecting a hdmi connection. When I turn on my pc, the oculus rift doesn't work (although there is an orange light).
